Micromax Canvas Xpress 4G Review

The Indian consumer electronics company, Micromax has recently launched a budget smartphone with wonderful features – the Canvas Xpress 4G. Known for its budget smartphone lineup, Micromax with the release of the new device hopes to take on the intensified competition in the budget segment.

Design & Build
The device has a good design and build with perfectly placed keys on the body. The top part of the phone has the USB port and the 3.5mm headphone jack, the left side of the device is devoid of keys while the right side has the power key and the volume rocker. The bottom part has the microphone for calling.

The metal frame that runs on the side of the device looks good on it. The 5 inch screen is perfect for good viewing and it has 3 keys for easy navigation at the bottom of the screen. The viewing angles are perfect and the legibility of the display is good under direct sunlight.
The device which has 2GB of RAM for multitasking, also has an internal memory of 16GB. There is a 1GHz MT6735P Quad core processor to take care of all processing needs. The camera on the rear is 8MP and can capture images with utmost clarity. The 2MP front camera is useful for video calls and for selfie shots.

The memory on the phone can be expanded up to 32GB – courtesy of an external microSD card. The battery has a 2000mAh capacity and with moderate usage can last for a day.
The device is a performance machine with the 2GB RAM taking care of its multitasking needs. The Mali-T720 GPU takes care of all graphic requirements of the phone. The camera renders performs that is expected off it. With features like OmniVision sensor and LED flash, the picture quality is greatly enhanced.
Running on the latest version of Android v.5.1 Lollipop, the glitches are very minor and only on heavy usage, there is some lagging. The dual-SIM device puts on an incredible performance in all conditions.
