Best Everything: Top Android Apps 2014

“Got any need refer the Google Play Store” that’s what I always say to my friends. The Google Play Store has developed a lot in the recent years. There’s an app for every fucking thing out there…!!!

Well this confuses the users, right? Even the Editor’s Pick, Top Free, Top Paid, Categories don’t help much. So here’s my picks on the best Apps present in the Play Store for the Year 2014, THE GUD1’s PICKS..!!

1. WhatsApp

Lets start with the Facebook’s acquisition, the Whatsapp. This social networking app has come a long way after its launch back in 2009. It was the “wonderchild” of Jan Koum and Brian Acton. The concept is simple – it takes over text messaging on your mobile, routing messages through any connection(internet) instead. Which means no more SMS allowances, no size restrictions, plus images are sent at a decent resolution.

The LastPass Password Mgr not only saves your passwords but also has a feature to create heavy complex passwords, which are hard to crack. Hackers got a challenger..!!A recent update has also introduced an auto fill feature (Though it Copies Notifications feature is a great way to get your info from the app to the login screen).

3. Google Fit

Are you a fitness freak? Google has an app just for you… Earlier this year, Google unveiled its Google Fit platform to help people track their fitness goals. It’s essentially a set of APIs that lets developers dig into rival apps and combine data for deeper insights.

In October, however, Google launched a dedicated Google Fit app for Android, serving to capture all your movements throughout the day, including walking, running and cycling.

4. Instagram

One app you should start using (or maybe you are using) is the Instagram. This Photo- Sharing app is a hit among the young generation. wherein you can share your photos to your followers (well you can follow me on @bethegud1, just saying..) Looking good and offers a simple way of taking and editing your square photographs of lunch, sunsets, cats etc. Plus it now has fashionable effect tilt shift for making things look small.

5. Amazon Appstore

It’s a bit of a fuss to get this on your phone as Google’s not too keen on rival app stores popping up on Google Play, but it’s worth doing. Mainly for the freeloading aspect, as Amazon sticks up a paid-app for free every day. Most are a bit rubbish, but some properly decent paid apps do occasionally pop up. Add it to your daily trawl, just in case.

6. Gaana

A competitor to Saavn, this music app is quite decent with a simple user-interface and good quality music. Nothing much to say just see it for yourself. But on my opinion, Saavn is much better.

8. Snapdeal

The online shopping website Snapdeal’s mobile app is the most interactive and responsive app I find compared to Amazon and eBay. The Shopping site’s mobile app features a user- friendly interface. And the “Shake- For-Deals” feature is also quite amazing. This feature allows the user to get instant updates on the recent deals directly o the app’s home page. Quite innovative I must say…
